Amanda Goyer is an emerging entrepreneur, owner, and curator at her new business venture, Sand Lake Merchant in Averill Park, New York. After spending a decade in the financial services industry, Goyer made a career pivot and is currently in the process of renovating a historic 1830s building where Sand Lake Merchant will operate as a mercantile, café, and community gathering space set to open in 2023. Prior to this new venture, Goyer was KeyBank’s Corporate Responsibility Officer leading community engagement throughout the Capital Region and Central New York Markets with a specific focus on providing financial services for unbanked and underbanked populations. Before her role at KeyBank, Amanda held the role of Director of Community Engagement at CAP COM Federal Credit Union, where she led the Credit Union’s Foundation, Public Relations, Business Development, and School Banking programs.

Amanda is a strategic relationship builder who fosters partnerships that innovate and inspire excellence within the community. Part of that work involves her volunteer service on a variety of nonprofit Boards and committees. Currently, Amanda is the Chair of the Women’s Employment and Resource Center of the Capital Region (WERC), where she strives to help women reenter the workforce. Amanda is also an active member of the Board of Directors of IPH, previously known as the Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless.
